Happy Birthday Cy and Tom

Cy turned 6 Nov 18th!  The little tradition we've started is that birthday folks get to pick their breakfast, dinner, and dessert.  Cy chose eggs for breakfast, waffles for dinner, and a cake of his design.  I must say that out of all the birthdays this year, his was by far the easiest.  We ended the night taking turns riding his new skateboard - luckily no one got hurt - but there were some falls - mine the least graceful - shocker, right?

Also, we'd like to say Happy Birthday to Tom "Bo" Boggini.  Don's dad would have been 68 today.  I know he misses him very much.

Hi

Avi and Cyrus wanted to take a moment to tell Grandpa David, Grandma Lynn, and Uncle David "Hi" and "We love and miss you".

Feng Gua

Ok, so I read a book about Feng Shui.  Shoot me.  The point is, to clear your clutter, before it stagnates your life.  As "woo-woo" as it might sound, I think we can all think of someone we know (maybe even our self!) who has way too much stuff.  Well, apparently this "stuff" is not just an eye sore, but an actual blocker of flow, creativity,  and life force.  Not to mention the baggage it symbolizes from our past.  You know, it brings to mind the concept of not looking back or else becoming a pillar of salt.  Anyhoo, I came home from work/school a couple weeks ago and informed Don and the kiddies we had a weekend project!  We were going to Feng Shui the house!  This was vital, and it was happening NOW.  God bless my family, because they jumped on board, no matter how crazy mommy sounded.  So, last weekend we overhauled closets, cupboards, under beds, and "the desk".  It was a sight to behold.  Don decided to tease me by running through house yelling "Feng Gua!  Feng Gua!".   This Sunday we decided to paint the dining room/living room.  Love it.  We knocked it out in 4 hours.

Another Day at the Office

Let me begin by saying I am a silly artsy fartsy woman and insisted on a film camera.  Now I'm taking pics with my phone and the quality is phooey.  Sometime soon I will have a digital camera and join the ranks of the rest of society.  Until then...please bear with.

For work on Saturday, my job was at the Farmer's Market, representing the school and offering 5 min chair massage.  To our right, a nutritionist.  To our left, an expert on pears.  We had a lot of fun.  Lunch was free as I sampled grapes, pomegranates, mango, tofu, something middle eastern (not sure what), homemade bread, and my favorite - pecan pie!  Dad, you would have loved the pies.  I thought of you.
